Research on different types of horror

Different types of Horror Movies 

Gore and Disturbing this genre may have torture and could make you want to not watch it because it could be quite gruesome. Also it can include a cannibal because that's is supposed to make the audience be quiet disturbed and its not a normal thing. Also this genre could include blood and guts. The horror movies which are Gore and Disturbing for example is SAW and HOSTEL.

Psychological horror is where is it aims to create discomfort by exposing common or universal psychological and emotional vulnerabilities and fears. psychological horror tends to keep the monsters hidden. A film which is this horror is THE SHINNING.

Paranormal horror is where you get haunted by a ghost and it will make you do stuff which you do not want to do.

Monster horror is where you are haunted or chased by a ghost or monster which will end up wanted to kill you or eat you.

Mission statement

​In this project the animation style we are using is stop motion. There are five of us in the production group, our company name: SHAVILLIA. The storyline: Two toys Tom and Holly have fallen in love. Tom gets kidnapped by another toy and Holly has to go on a quest to save him from the evil empress Jade.  The stop motion that will be created will have a certificate of PG, Parental Guidance. The reason being is because the storyline is based on romance/ adventure with a little bit of action. Another reason for PG is because it will contain children's toys. The channel it would be aired on would be CBBC because it is the home of children's T.V.

Proposal

In radio we got set a task in which to make an advert in which is for an actually business for us to play on Infuse radio. We had to get into pairs I went with Olivia. We went and ask Thorntons and they said they would be happy to for us to make an advert for them. We got a signed piece of paper saying that we got permission to use their business to make our advert about. 

Then we research about Thornton and we found out that their slogan was Chocolate heaven since 1911, and we decided to use that in our advert. Then we looked on their website to see what chocolate we could advertise about we choose Continental which is their box of chocolate. 

We then came up with our advert it is going to start with a sound of someone unwrapping a chocolate wrapper and eating it then it is going to be a female women voice saying chocolate heaven since 1911 and then its going to say Thorntons the chocolate you've been dreaming about and all through out this advert there is going to be soothing music playing in the background.


Our Target Audience would be woman which are 20+ because that's when you actually start buy chocolates and want to receive a box of continental chocolates and the box is very mature as well.

Horror Proposel

In video we got set a task in which we are to make a 1-2 minutes horror movie trailer. We first went through which type of horror movie it will be. Mine is going to be paranormal in which their is going to be a girl which is a ghost that has haunted the same house since she was dead because it was her family house when she was alive. Then in moves a women in which has just turned twenty and is the first time she is on her own. Then she starts to hear noise where she is sitting reading a book and looks at the window and sees the girl ghost standing there. Then another day she hears the ghost say play with me. The women then runs and tries to get away from the ghost but then all the doors are lock and at the end you just see the girl standing their laughing or with a smirk on her face. 
I have decided to call my horror movie trailer Amelia because that's the actress that is going to play the ghost.

Its going to be set in a under decorated  house in which make it eerie. The lighting is going to be dark and gloomy. 
The ghost girl is going to wear a long white t-shirt and have white face and have blood on her face too and her hair in bunches then she is always going to be cuddling a teddy bear.

Criminal Damage Advert (2012)

I dont like the way their is children smoking which look about ten and this means they are not old enough to smoke this can tempt young children to start smoking which is a bad influence and goes against the ASA rules.

Drop Dead Clothing (2011)

I dont like the way they have used a really skinny models. If a teenager girl or any girl saw this they would want to be this skinny and also the model looks very anorexic and it could be ironic  because its called drop dead clothing and she could be very ill because she look like she has anorexic.

No Added Sugar LTD (2010)

I dont like the way they have shown people putting carrier bags over their head when that could cause damage. Also little children could see this and copy and they could really hurt themselves.

Miu Miu (Prada) (2011)

This could show that it is okay to sit on the train tracks and pose but a train could come and could lead to disaster and this could encourage children and people to play on train tracks and its wrong.

This is were they rate movie to make it suitable for the audience.

What are the different ratings?

There is U PG 12A 12 15 18 R18.

U is where its suitable for aged four and over this should be a positive framework and should not show violence, threat and horror.

PG should be eight or older and any age could watch but parents are advise to watch with them.

12A this is where you’re aloud to watch a movie with violence, threat and horror with a parent and you could be any age but a 12 is where you actually have to be twelve.

15 only 15 year old are aloud to see this and no younger.

18 is where you can not watch a 18 unless your actually 18.

R18 is where it’s very special and legally restricted for explicated work of sexually scenes. These films are not shown in normal cinema only special cinema and sex shops.

Write about a case study you have looked up

Coraline is where a girl is transported into a different dimension where one dimension is very scary and has buttons on their eyes   and the other is normal. This could be scary for little children because they are quiet scary and can frighten them. So that is why it is a PG.

They all knew that it was about a movie trailer and one person said that we have no name but we said that we haven't got a name. They all said that they couldn't hear us but we don't like doing presentation. No one got what it was about but we couldn't explain it any clearer. Also they all got the target audience so it we done something write.

Pitch for Horror Trailer

Our Horror Trailer is going to be about a little girl who haunts a house where no one lives in. Hannah moves into the house without knowing its haunted.

Our target audience is suitable for age 15 and over because its going to be a bit creepy. The type of horror we are going to do is paranormal.

We filmed at my house and it took us an hour, we filmed it last Friday. We used my camera on my phone. We have not yet chose our film.
